Ed Nelson | Welcome to ERN Architects: Architectural Services - Adaptive Reuse Credentials

The Vandergriff Building, Arlington, Texas. Harve D. Withers, 1928.
Adaptive re-use of 2 story auto dealership as an office building. Services included photographic and as-built documentation of the building elevations, plans and structural framing, as well as an investigative analysis of the building envelope. ERN Architects prepared applications for Federal, Historic Tax Credits and obtained approval for the building’s listing on the National Register. The Beaux-Arts styled building once housed service bays, auto storage, offices and the sales floor for the original Vandergriff Chevrolet dealership. The restoration of this facility is the cornerstone in the planned redevelopment of the central Arlington business district.
