Dallas Fair Park “Grand Place” Re-Roofing
Formerly called the Women’s Building, Grand Place is a 55,000-square-foot exhibition hall. During the State Fair of Texas, it becomes a venue for showcasing exhibitors’ products and crafts. Fashioned after World War II, it stands on the site where the Ford Motor Company had its exhibit during the Texas Centennial Exposition in 1936.
From the 1950s to the 1970s, the building was known as the Women’s Building. During that period, it was the home of the State Fair’s quilting, cooking and canning competitions.
