Master Plan for the Adaptive Re-Use of the Historic St. Benedict Hospital Campus King William Historic District, San Antonio, Texas.
The plan incorporates the adaptive re-use of the historic St. Benedict Hospital complex to include housing, offices and an all suites hotel in the King William Historic District of San Antonio. Project services included photographic and as-built documentation of each of the existing buildings and analysis of the potential new use of each building on the campus. The property includes a 2 story, 19th century office building, a group of mid 20th century hospital buildings and 1970 era surgery facility. Sustainable planning practices include the re-use of most of the existing buildings, the addition of townhouses along the residential frontage, replacing a former parking lot and the addition a small office building for a proposed neighborhood clinic.  Professional services also included the development of the schematic design for the conversion of 3 of the buildings into an all suites hotel.
