Hilton Hotel, Renovation and Addition, Waco Texas
Renovation and Addition to the Hilton Hotel, Waco, Texas. The 25 year old, 11 story facility was found to have numerous problematic conditions including inadequate power for modern, full service hotel demands and excessive heating in guestrooms during warm months. In addition to resolving building system problems the project program included demolition and reconfiguration of all public areas, modifications for ADA and energy code compliance, complete replacement of guestroom interiors, the addition of approximately 8,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space and a new covered driveway entrance for the adjacent Convention Center. The tower’s curtain wall system was renovated and modified, increasing the thermal efficiency, identifying and eliminating numerous leaking conditions and incorporating a pre-finished louver system designed to function with the existing PTAC units.
