Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin Arboretum
Holiday Inn Express and Suites Arboretum Austin, Texas.
New, four story, 63,342 square foot, Holiday Inn Express hotel. The new facility utilizes numerous sustainable design and building techniques including an active solar water heating system and an HVAC system designed to provide 100 percent, fresh make-up air to the public spaces for enhanced indoor air quality. The system utilizes a rooftop unit with an energy recovery wheel. Return air and building exhaust are directed through the wheel transferring its heating or cooling capacity to the incoming stream of fresh, make-up air. The system also uses R-410A refrigerant. A commissioning agent was employed, providing guidance and oversight through the HVAC system design, construction and final delivery of the completed building.
